Job Overview

The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects related to a construction project. This includes General Contracting projects, larger‑scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, Trem Cares, etc. The role involves working closely with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician to ensure effective execution, safe completion, and adherence to contractual obligations. Additional duties involve participating in on‑site meetings, developing scope of work, reviewing proposals, specifications, and project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, and completing project closeout documents, as directed by the Construction Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and validate proposals and specifications.
  • Engage in the following phases:
    Conceptual (specification development, milestone dates), Program Planning, Design, Proposal (including Pre‑Proposal Meetings), Construction, Pre‑Construction, Effective Close‑out, Cost Estimates and Schedules.
  • Use ebuilder for all project documentation per policy manual.
  • Track project costs, budget variances, and profitability.
  • Accountable for quality assurance.
  • Ensure subcontractors submit required documents.
  • Establish timelines and goals.
  • Manage key metrics and report as required.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM when needed.
  • Review submitted proposals and conduct contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance.
  • Review line‑item generated proposal documents.
  • Direct Project Superintendents as required.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager and Sales Representative to define project scope and complete specification requests.
  • Conduct Pre‑Proposal Meetings, distribute documentation, and assist in reviewing proposals.
  • Publish project schedule and coordinate Pre‑Construction Meetings.
  • Engage project superintendent for project information, obtain building permits when required.
  • Review daily inspection forms, distribute, and upload into project files.
  • Visit job sites as necessary, conduct weekly progress meetings, maintain project schedule, perform site audits.
  • Review subcontractor payment requests and assemble AIA billing applications for manager approval.
  • Assist construction manager, superintendent, subcontractor, owner, or sales representative as needed.
  • Assist in final inspection, ensure required documents uploaded.
  • Travel out of town including overnight travel; own transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Work weekends/holidays if needed.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug test.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Open to relocation after program completion.

Salary

The salary range for this position generally ranges between $54,549 and $68,000. This estimate is based on qualifications and operational needs.
