Medical Director, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy; HCM Program

Overview

Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Cardiologist for the Medical Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program in Morristown, New Jersey. The program is recognized as a center of excellence by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association since 2014. The team includes a surgeon with myectomy, interventional cardiologists with alcohol septal ablation, experts in cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and advanced echocardiography, and a Genetics Counselor.

It is supported by the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, a 200 bed heart hospital on the Morristown Medical Center Campus and the Atlantic Center for Research. This role entails outpatient care in Morristown and inpatient consult responsibilities at Morristown Medical Center. The cardiologist should be able to interpret echocardiograms and perform conventional and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

Lead a multifaceted HCM program and provide advanced care to patients. The role includes outpatient care in Morristown and inpatient consults at Morristown Medical Center. Interpret echocardiograms and perform cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
• Board Certified in Echocardiography
• Eligible for New Jersey License
• 5 years of experience required
• Research interest and experience with myosin inhibitors highly desirable. Eligible for academic appointment at Assistant Professor level or higher.

Salary Range: $550,000–$650,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives
