Director – Cloud & Data Transformation

This is an opportunity for a senior technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems at scale and shaping the future of modern data platforms. The role sits at the intersection of hands-on engineering, architecture, and leadership, with real influence over how large-scale cloud and data transformation initiatives are designed and delivered.

You’ll lead the definition of target-state architectures, guide engineering teams through complex migrations from legacy platforms to modern cloud data stacks, and help set the technical standards that enable reliable, secure, and scalable delivery. While this is a senior role, it remains close to the technology you’ll be involved in proof-of-concepts, early-stage engineering, and critical design decisions.

The role partners closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into practical technical solutions. You’ll mentor and develop engineers, influence technical direction across teams, and play a key role in driving innovation while operating in a regulated environment where quality, resilience, and governance matter.

What you’ll bring

• Deep experience in data engineering and cloud-native data platforms
• A track record of leading large-scale cloud migration or modernization programmes
• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to balance long-term strategy with delivery realities
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across teams
• Comfort operating in regulated environments and Agile or scaled delivery models
• Knowledge of Snowflake and Teradata is highly beneficial
