Job Summary

The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for providing electrical support, including but not limited to, programming of PLCs from multiple manufacturers (AB, Bosch‑Rexroth, Omron), electrical and program troubleshooting, and ongoing project support for manufacturing daily operations and improvements associated with the manufacturing systems at Iatric.

Essential Accountabilities

Both the Electrical Controls Tech I and II positions share the following essential accountabilities.

  • Work safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Work directly with and provide daily process support to the Operations Team.
  • Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate’s essential accountabilities.
  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job‑related work, as needed or requested.
Essential Accountabilities Specific to the Electrical Controls Tech I position
  • Provide basic technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment.
  • This includes, but is not limited to plant electrical distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors and drives.
  • Support general camera inspection systems maintenance.
  • Supports general lot code printing equipment maintenance.
  • Support basic robotic manipulation and troubleshooting.
  • Navigate equipment problems and determine causes to implement necessary repair up to and including program modification.
  • Must be flexible in work schedule to support equipment downtime or to provide backup shift coverage support on an as needed basis.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company’s RRITE Values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
Essential Accountabilities Specific to the Electrical Controls Tech II position
  • Provide advanced technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to plant electrical distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors and drives.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine causes to implement necessary repair up to and including program modification.
  • Assist with determining equipment issues and assisting with Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
  • Lead camera inspection systems maintenance.
  • Lead lot code printing equipment maintenance.
  • Lead robotic manipulation and troubleshooting.
  • Modify existing logic and writing as projects mandate.
  • Responsible for working within a team for tuning, modifying, and installing new manufacturing equipment.
  • Able to properly and efficiently train and mentor ECT level I associates utilizing an approved training plan.
  • Must be flexible in work schedule to support equipment downtime or to provide backup shift coverage support on an as needed basis.

Both the Electrical Controls Tech I and II positions are designated as Safety‑Sensitive (A safety‑sensitive position is one in which the associate’s inability or impaired ability to perform their job‑related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate’s safety or the safety of others).
