The Product Support Integrator provides services as detailed below for the Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PM SL) Contract Advisory and Assistance Services Support Contract for the Army. PM SL supports Soldiers through the enhancement of current systems and development of next-generation weapons technology. The organization focuses on ensuring Soldiers are equipped with world-class weapon systems and associated target acquisition/fire‑control products. This role requires less than 15% travel per year.
POSITIONOVERVIEW
Provides product support integration by performing the following tasks:
- Coordinates integrated product support (IPS) implementation, to include: IPS elements and considerations for design influence; maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; supply support; support equipment and test measurement diagnostic equipment; training and training tasks; technical data; computer resource support; packaging, handling, and storage; transportation and transportability; facilities, standardization and interoperability;
Material Fielding Planning, logistics resource funds; reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM), explosive ordnance demolition, demilitarization, and Human Systems Integration. - Develops and provides logistics input data to designers concerning maintainability and supportability for new material being developed. Drafts and staffs lifecycle sustainment plans (LCSP).
- Develops Item Unique Identification (IUID) strategies and plans.
- Develops inch stone milestone schedules for IPS activities and products.
- Maintains liaison with Training and Doctrine Command personnel to determine support requirements of material by using troops in the development of the IPS program.
- Reviews prototype models, drawings, and engineering designs, and makes recommendations concerning ease of maintenance of material.
- Uses statistical reports and information obtained from field visits and evaluates reliability and maintainability of material.
- Provides economic determination of assembly versus piece‑part replacement, expendability, overhaul versus replacement, and time between overhaul limits.
- Reviews assigned programs as they relate to IPS, Logistics Product Analysis and Human Systems Integration (HSI) and prepares associated program evaluations.
- Provides support to configuration control boards and other material acquisition boards by coordinating the review and evaluation of Engineering Change Proposals and their impact on systems logistics support.
- Establishes and chairs integrated product support management teams consisting of functional logistics experts from the government sector as well as private industry.
- Briefs Program and Product Managers, as well as materiel developers and other interested parties on plans and status of IPS for the assigned weapon/ammunition system.
- Maintains continuous liaison with TACOM, CECOM, PEO Soldier staff, as well as DEVCOM research and engineering, production, and field personnel to ensure optimum support after the system is fielded.
- Reviews field feedback data and information from contractors on maintainability and support requirements of government furnished equipment (GFE).
- Performs other tasks as required to support PM‑SL.
- Demonstrates Subject Matter Expertise in AR700-127 and 5 years of experience serving as a PSI in a PM or similar office.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Army Acquisition Logistics/Product Support.
- Must possess time management and problem‑solving skills.
- Must possess ability to work independently to carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Must possess ability to quickly shift attention to new demand or task.
- 5 or more years’ experience serving as a PSI in a PM or similar office.
While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent will be exposed to normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face.
