Job Title
The high-profile position will apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to manage the physical infrastructure of the plant and its equipment.
Job DescriptionThe job responsibilities include leading by example that safety is a way of life, leading/managing the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments, minimizing unplanned equipment downtime and maximizing equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiatives, ensuring facilities engineering metrics are well-known, establishing project goals, managing the maintenance and repair budget, contributing to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives, developing the capabilities of those in the department, exhibiting and promoting an attitude that leads to an engaged and energized workforce, advising, assisting and reviewing all matters involving capital and major expenses, representing Arconic at community planning boards, maintaining a high attendance record, performing duties in a safe and efficient manner, performing other work-related duties as assigned, daily help managing parts and expediting parts as necessary, troubleshooting equipment with a sense of urgency, daily review of PM's equipment down with the team, ASAT audits and improvements, contracting skilled trades as needed.
QualificationsBasic qualifications include a four-year Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree, seven or more years of experience in facilities, and three years supervisory experience. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in AutoCAD, office software, project management, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, good people management interpersonal skills, ability to speak to groups of employees or outside agencies, mathematical skills and analytical problem solving, and good understanding of financial data.
Physical demands include PC literate, CAD, mainframe computer, and various measurement devices.
Skills and abilities
include occasional electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment interface, office equipment including computers, walking, light lifting, and routine physical activity.
