Advanced Practice Professional; NP​/PA), Orthopedics Spine, Morristown Medical Center

Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Spine Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA for a full-time, inpatient coverage role in the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center, Northern New Jersey. The position requires a rotating schedule with day shifts and intermittent weekends. The ideal candidate will have orthopedic and/or spine experience; training is available for a new graduate.

The PA/APN will assist in rounds, perform consultations, act as first assist in spine cases, order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate post-operative patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. There may be occasional cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma team."

• Assist in rounds and perform consultations for spine patients.
• First assist in spine operative cases.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; evaluate postoperative patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide occasional cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma team with APPs and orthopedic residents.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited APN or PA program (Masters or Doctorate degree).
• Required Licenses: Valid New Jersey License, APN or PA.

  Active board certification in APN specialty or PA; BLS and ACLS.
• Required Experience: Acute Care, Orthopedics/Trauma/Spine advanced practice.
