• Mondays: 11am - 7pm
• Tuesdays: 1pm - 9pm
• Wednesdays: 1pm - 9pm
• Thursdays: 1pm - 9pm
• Fridays: 11am - 7pm

The MRI Technician will position patients on the examining table and place specified coils (receivers) close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by the Radiologist. The technician will demonstrate the use of a microphone to facilitate communication between the patient and technologist during examinations. Responsibilities include entering patient data, observing the patient for safety and comfort, ensuring image quality, and alerting staff of metal hazards in the magnet room.

• Position patients on the examining table according to protocols.
• Use of microphone for patient and technologist communication.
• Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and MRI settings into the computer.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort through observation.
• Ensure quality of images being scanned and photograph images as necessary.
• Inform staff and patients of safety protocols concerning metal in the magnet room.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technician.
• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program.
• New Jersey State RT License.
• MR Certified.
• BLS Certification.
• Excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
