Job Description
Atlantic Medical Group, Central Scheduling is seeking a full‑time Trainer for medical specialties in a call center. The role is onsite, five days a week in Morristown, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Responsibilities include creating training materials and content using Canva or other applications, supporting the scheduling team, and functioning in a dual role. The trainer reports to the Central Scheduling Manager and is responsible for development and support in areas such as EPIC workflows, instructional design and delivery, conflict resolution, and orientation of new department staff.
The trainer drives changes, recommends improvements in training processes and Epic workflows, and delivers innovative solutions to improve services.
- Accurately handle incoming phone calls, SMS requests, perform patient registration, place outbound calls, and schedule appointments for Atlantic Medical Group practices in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
- Prepare instructional materials and conduct training sessions via classroom or virtual formats.
- Conduct surveys to gauge the effectiveness of training sessions and make changes as needed. Provide pre‑ and post‑training competency tests to ensure team members have acquired required knowledge and skills.
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining training documentation.
- Assist with resolving and supporting team members via email, Teams, or phone.
- Provide on‑site support to orient/evaluate new department members, observe and analyze workflows, and recommend process‑improvement opportunities.
- Assist with training and go‑live support for all new projects and initiatives.
- Assist with quality audits and work queues for registration, insurance verification, and scheduling encounters.
- Continuously review existing processes, Epic reports, and dashboards for potential improvement opportunities and make recommendations.
- Act as liaison and “go‑to” resource between new hires and department leadership.
- Support department goals and process‑improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in Medical Office Management, Business, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office environment or related area.
- 4+ years of administrative experience.
- Experience with Canva.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
