Job Description

The Manager of Talent Acquisition will lead a team of recruiters and oversee a comprehensive portfolio of recruitment functions, including leading the internship program, campus recruitment, and other pipeline strategies that ensure a strong, diverse, and sustainable talent pool for entry-level and early-career healthcare positions.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Provide leadership to Talent Acquisition team members—including but not limited to corporate and campus recruitment teams, and the Program Manager of Talent Development.
  • Train, supervise, and develop team of recruiters, including coaching, workload balancing, performance management, and fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-accountability environment.
  • Build and maintain a culture that reflects Atlantic Health’s values.
  • Cultivate a positive, driven, and collaborative work environment.
Strategic Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Design, implement, and oversee data-supported enterprise-wide recruitment strategies for interns, students, residents, and entry-level healthcare professionals to build long-term pipeline strength.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers, Nursing Education, HR, Workforce Planning, and operational leadership to anticipate future staffing needs and develop long-term recruitment plans.
  • Provide strategic, data-driven recruitment consultation to leaders, backed by comprehensive employment analytics and market insights.
  • Develop targeted sourcing plans, including strategies that address internal retention drivers and enhance talent mobility.
  • Serve as a key collaborator across internal teams—including Senior Leadership and Workforce Planning— to drive alignment and consistency.
Campus, Community, and Pipeline Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, vocational schools, high schools, workforce boards, and community organizations to establish robust talent channels.
  • Lead all aspects of early-career and workforce development initiatives, including internship programs, High School Shadow Days, Work Study Programs, Teen Hiring initiatives, and Nursing Assistant/PCT Bootcamps.
  • Oversee candidate selection, development, and conversion strategies for pipeline programs, ensuring integration into long-term career pathways.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key candidate communities, professional associations, and partner institutions to support short- and long-term staffing needs.
  • Champion Atlantic Health as an employer of choice through career fairs, events, and community engagement.
Recruitment Operations and Analytics
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems, recruiting software, and CRM platforms to monitor applicant flow, enhance candidate experience, and cultivate proactive talent pipelines.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics for recruitment and outreach programs, including applicant flow, interviews, new hires, cost per hire, fill rates, promotions, and related information.
  • Stay current with trends in healthcare recruitment, early-career development, diversity and inclusion strategies, and innovative sourcing techniques.
  • Collaboratively design and manage Talent Acquisition programs, including recruitment marketing and candidate experience initiatives.
  • Provide project management leadership for special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
Relevant Experience
  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience in managing recruitment teams across multiple sites and service lines.
  • Demonstrated record of innovation, leadership, creativity, and building scalable recruitment programs.
  • Ability to lead and influence within a matrixed environment, build diverse teams, coach talent and drive performance.
  • Proven skills in candidate assessment and selection at all organizational levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of EEO legislation and other relevant staffing laws.
  • SHRM Certification is a plus.
  • Experience using Oracle Recruiting a plus.
