Key Responsibilities- An experienced KDB+ Support Engineer is required to join MAPS Electronic Trading Data Services team in New York.
- This role supports a number of KDB+ Applications, built on client's largest KDB+ implementation, servicing the Global Markets business across multiple asset classes.
- The person hired for this role must have at least 3 years development or support experience on real-time KDB+ applications.
- They should be sufficiently comfortable working in a Unix environment.
- As this is a Production Support role, the individual should be comfortable managing Technology Incidents, and owning follow‑up actions with development teams through to closure/risk mitigation.
- The Production Support team works very closely with both development teams, quant solutions groups and business stakeholders.
- It is vital that the person fulfilling this role is able to operate and adjust their approach to collaborate with people from any of these groups.
- Alongside KDB+ it is important for the global team based out of New York, Singapore, GIFT City (India) and London, to work to deliver continuous – follow‑the‑sun support, as our applications operate 24x6.
- Self‑starter who is able to hit the ground running.
- This role has an element of weekend support, on a rotation basis.
This role requires working onsite with the client 3 days per week in Pennington, NJ.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a developing and supporting KDB+ applications.
- Experience with Q programming language.
- Familiarity with real‑time KDB+ applications processing terabytes of data on a daily basis.
- Excellent spoken and written communication to support users and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ITIL approach to Incident, Problem, & Change Management.
- Associate’s Degree.
