Slitting Setter

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

To set up, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair all necessary equipment for the production of paper rolls in accordance with specifications (slitters, presses, roll separators, wrappers, conveyors, case packers, ink jet printers) and any other necessary equipment. To drive forklift and clamp truck, requisition raw material and make necessary transaction moves in ERP. Job setters lead by communicating, directing, and teaching others;

and are expected to make sound business decisions when/where necessary. Job setters are accountable for ensuring packers, operators, and material handlers perform their jobs properly and maintain quality in work and packing. The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

• G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Mechanical ability (must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment).
• Ability to lift heavy weights.
• Must be able to use various measuring instruments.
• Must be quality oriented.
• Must be able to read and understand job specifications.
• Must be able to read blueprints.

You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness‑for‑duty test (for some positions).
