Job Description

We are looking for a talented Tool Maker to join our 3rd Shift team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN
.

Job Summary:

Services, supports and maintains equipment required by a tool maker. Manufactures components using machine tool equipment with the ability to read and understand part drawings with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Elevate craftsmanship and product quality through precise workmanship, strict adherence to specifications, and proactive identification of issues that prevent defects and unnecessary cost.
  • Strengthen equipment reliability by supporting root cause analysis, performing accurate inspections, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed and documented to a high standard.
  • Drive operational performance by expertly operating tool room equipment, fabricating components, and maintaining machines in a way that reduces downtime and supports production flow.
  • Improve processes and reduce constraints by identifying bottlenecks, solving technical problems, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and throughput.
  • Maintain a world class work environment by keeping equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe-reinforcing professionalism and readiness across the operation.
