Responsible for ensuring successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction.
Job DescriptionProvide comprehensive clinical instruction to team members in acute care settings, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, preparing progress evaluations, documenting clinical performance, and utilizing evaluation tools.
Principal Accountabilities- Provide comprehensive clinical instruction to team members in acute care settings, aligning with program standards and best practice.
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, critical thinking, and professional development.
- Prepare and maintain team member progress evaluations timely and accurately.
- Monitor and document clinical performance and competency, ensuring adherence to program philosophy and established objectives.
- Utilize and implement evaluation tools and assessment methods to measure student learning outcomes, clinical competency, and overall progress.
- Maintain professional expertise and credentials through ongoing continuing education, in-service training, and academic development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations, unit and team member success.
- Full time, Days
- 7am-7pm
- Weekends as needed for team coverage
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- BSN, BLS, or ACLS required.
- Orthopedic Nurse Certification preferred; ANCC certification required.
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice, Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, Adult learning principles, and competency validation.
- Active participation in professional development, shared governance, interprofessional collaboration, and staff development.
- 2–3 years of experience in acute care or relevant area.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Coverage (22.5 hours per week or above for full-time and part-time team members)
