Acute Care Orthopedics Nurse Educator

Registered Nurse/Educator

Responsible for ensuring successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction.

Provide comprehensive clinical instruction to team members in acute care settings, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, preparing progress evaluations, documenting clinical performance, and utilizing evaluation tools.

• Provide comprehensive clinical instruction to team members in acute care settings, aligning with program standards and best practice.
• Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, critical thinking, and professional development.
• Prepare and maintain team member progress evaluations timely and accurately.
• Monitor and document clinical performance and competency, ensuring adherence to program philosophy and established objectives.
• Utilize and implement evaluation tools and assessment methods to measure student learning outcomes, clinical competency, and overall progress.
• Maintain professional expertise and credentials through ongoing continuing education, in-service training, and academic development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations, unit and team member success.

• Full time, Days
• 7am-7pm
• Weekends as needed for team coverage

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• BSN, BLS, or ACLS required.
• Orthopedic Nurse Certification preferred; ANCC certification required.

• Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice, Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, Adult learning principles, and competency validation.
• Active participation in professional development, shared governance, interprofessional collaboration, and staff development.
• 2–3 years of experience in acute care or relevant area.

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
