Registered Nurse
Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered in the Endoscopy unit including Gastroenterology, and Pulmonary. Exhibits knowledge of and consistently maintains SGNA standards of practice. Assesses patient reactions and understanding of procedure/instructions—actively including the patient and family members in teaching. Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in meeting staffing needs of the unit. Clinically practices consistently and effectively with the goal of improving patient satisfaction.
The department is open Monday–Friday 630am to 6pm and Saturday 7am‑4pm with an on‑call team available any time the department is closed for emergencies.
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Full time, Nights
- 7pm‑7:30am
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- Must be able to push/pull/lift to 35lbs. Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and/or walking.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
- CGRN, ACLS, PALS preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
- Endoscopy and/or Critical Care experience.
- 1+ year of experience in Endoscopy and/or Critical Care.
- ACLS and PALS Certification.
- CGRN Certification.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Coverage (22.5 hours per week or above for full‑time and part‑time team members)
