Overview
Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe, VT, is in search of an Orthopaedic Service Line Process Improvement Coordinator to join our Mansfield Orthopaedics team!
The Orthopaedic Service Line Process Improvement Coordinator is responsible for leading, coordinating, and sustaining process improvement initiatives across the orthopaedic service line. In collaboration with the Orthopaedic Surgeons, advanced practice providers, anaesthesia providers, nursing staff, rehabilitation staff, and operational leaders, the Process Improvement Coordinator will provide recommendations and management to improve quality, efficiency, patient outcomes, and financial performance using data‑driven methodologies.
This is a Full‑Time position (PT options available). Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full‑Time, Part‑Time, and Per Diem needs. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.

Responsibilities- Analyze operational, clinical, and quality data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Apply established performance improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), to identify inefficiencies, reduce duplicate work and optimize patient flow and outcomes.
- Analyze and optimize clinic triage protocols and offer clinical insight on a case‑by‑case basis, as needed, to ensure patients see the most appropriate provider.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reports related to service line performance (e.g., time from appointment request to appointment date).
- Maintain full licensing and credentialing as an active member of the Medical Staff. Fulfill 4-5 clinical shifts per month to maintain clinical proficiency and knowledge of clinical pathways and trends.
- Participate fully in Medical Staff meetings, Total Joint Meeting Group, and Subgroups.
- Support implementation and sustainability of best practices and evidence‑based care pathways.
- Monitor outcomes post‑implementation and ensure continuous improvement through ongoing evaluation.
- In conjunction with leadership, identify, plan, and implement possible service line expansions as appropriate (orthopaedic urgent care, PRP injection service).
- PA/NP/MD/DO, minimum Master’s degree. Experience in orthopaedics/surgical services.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification
- Ability to function autonomously with limited daily oversight
- Ability to work effectively within diverse clinical and operational teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Data analysis and reporting proficiency
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
