In this CT Tech role, your core responsibilities span imaging excellence and patient-centered care. You’ll operate CT scanners with meticulous attention to protocol, parameter optimization, contrast administration, and radiation safety, ensuring diagnostic-quality images and patient comfort. You’ll collaborate closely with radiologists and other technologists to select appropriate protocols, perform quality checks, review images for accuracy, and implement process improvements that reduce repetition and enhance throughput.
You’ll assist with patient positioning, immobilization, and monitoring, particularly for vulnerable or claustrophobic patients, and you’ll participate in daily equipment checks, cleaning, and calibration to uphold safety standards. Your ability to communicate clearly and calmly with patients—explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring consent—will be vital. The role also encompasses documentation, coding support, schedule coordination, and timely reporting of any issues that could affect imaging quality or patient safety.
