EVS manager

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | On-Site

Setting: Community Hospital / Healthcare

We are seeking an experienced EVS Manager to oversee Environmental Services operations in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment while leading EVS staff and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and infection-control requirements.

• Oversee daily Environmental Services operations and workflow.
• Lead, schedule, train, and support EVS staff.
• Ensure patient care areas, common areas, and other assigned spaces are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Monitor cleaning standards, quality, safety, and infection-control practices.
• Conduct inspections and address cleanliness or service issues promptly.
• Maintain appropriate supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Ensure staff follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams to support patient and staff needs.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate EVS documentation.
• Respond to operational concerns and help implement process improvements.

• Previous supervisory or management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or a related healthcare setting.
• Healthcare or hospital EVS experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, sanitation, and healthcare cleaning standards.
• Ability to train and motivate staff while maintaining high service standards.
• Comfortable working with cleaning equipment, supplies, and inventory systems.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
