Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be an integral part of the Finance team of a growing biopharmaceutical company. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Director of Accounting.

• Enter invoices in Net Suite for approval accurately and timely
• Enter and maintain vendor records in Net Suite
• Answer AP inquiries from vendor and internal partners
• Review POs for accuracy and appropriate documentation
• Weekly, prepare an aging and recommended payment batches
• Work with the Finance team on monthly accruals for unbilled services
• Lead the 1099 reporting process at year-end
• General filing of invoices and related documents
• Sort and review accounts payable mail
• Uphold and maintain confidentiality and compliance requirements
• Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in accounts payable
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
• Experience with Net Suite preferred

• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
