Location: Morrisville, NC
Overview:
My client is a well-established commercial general contractor in the Raleigh-Durham area seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met
- Lead project planning, budgeting, buyout, and subcontractor coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants
- Oversee project schedules, cost reporting, change orders, and pay applications
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with project plans
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks while resolving issues as they arise
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, company policies, and contract requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
- Experience managing ground-up and/or major renovation commercial projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, contracts, and project financials
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Stable backlog of work in the NC Triangle region
