About the Role:

As a Middle School Math Teacher at Sterling Montessori, you'll be an integral part of a collaborative teaching team, supporting students through one of the most dynamic stages of their development. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with adolescents, providing dynamic lessons, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom culture. From guiding small group instruction to helping plan hands-on learning experiences and field trips, you'll have a front-row seat to student growth-academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will:

• Play a vital role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally
• Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with North Carolina's math standards in the middle grades
• Understand and be able to implement current research-based "best practices" for middle grades education, including differentiation of instruction, support methods for students with special learning needs, and strategies for gifted or advanced students
• Collaborate with teachers, colleagues, and administration to develop and ensure a healthy, safe, and inclusive environment in which all community members are free to learn and work
• Foster a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment
• Observe and document student progress and plan individualized supports
• Provide grading, feedback, and classroom management
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and team members
• Facilitate small-group Advisory groups year round
• Plan and participate in field trips, conferences, and experiential learning activities
• Embrace professional growth through meetings and ongoing training

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university
• State License (or willing to pursue NC licensure)
• Montessori Adolescent Training (or willing and able to pursue Adolescent training)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with middle school students
• Montessori experience or interest
