Refrigeration Project Manager

Our client is an established Industrial Refrigeration service firm seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager to join their team in Raleigh, NC. This is a direct hire opportunity for a candidate with a strong mechanical engineering background and hands-on experience managing projects. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient, independent professional who is comfortable answering phones, traveling domestically, and working both in the office and in the field.

Job Responsibilities
- -Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to plan and execute projects involving climate control, refrigeration, and fluid systems.

-Manage project scope, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.

-Act as a secondary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear and professional communication across channels.

-Use CAD tools to produce, review, and update engineering drawings and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

-Engage directly with customers to identify needs, resolve technical challenges, and keep projects aligned with expectations.

-Support field operations through domestic travel as project needs arise, including site visits and client meetings.

-Self-manage workload across multiple concurrent projects, operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

Job Requirements - - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering or project management.

- Solid technical foundation in refrigeration or a related discipline.

- Working proficiency with CAD platforms for engineering design and documentation.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to handle client-facing phone interactions with confidence.

- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed; active U.S. passport required.

- Prior experience working independently in technical roles involving troubleshooting or issue resolution preferred.

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
