Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in building automation. The role requires learning to understand project/service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety. The technician participates in project/service activities on site related to coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. Report to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Responsibilities- Work independently or with others as needed.
- Be customer‑friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable.
- Familiar with package units, split systems, RTUs, and mini splits.
- Have electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
- Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections.
- Communicate effectively with team and customers.
- Comply with all safety standards and processes.
- Climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems; EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.
- Electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Highly organized and able to work in a high‑paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet schedules.
- Operate independently and autonomously; take ownership of all tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and team orientation.
- Proficiency in writing code for controller sequence of operations.
- Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, Lon Works, Modbus, etc.).
USD 54,400 – USD 81,600 per year (base and short‑term incentives). Pay range applies to candidates located within the United States.
