We are seeking a senior-level Engineering Technician 5 to support product testing (NPI, pilot, limited production), and early product validation for Aerospace and Defense products. This hands-on role works closely with Product Engineering (PE), Design Engineering (DE) and Manufacturing teams to bring new hardware from prototype to production. The ideal candidate has strong hardware troubleshooting & testing skills with a good understanding of software used in test or automation environments.
Key Responsibilities- Support A&D PL testing, including prototype, low-volume engineering/production runs
- Coordinate space qualification projects, including product testing and reliability stress testing.
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, debug, and failure analysis
- Review test plans, collect data, and provide feedback to Product Engineers
- Support Manufacturing teams towards process optimization
- Support NPI teams with experiments, validation, and design-for-manufacturability improvements
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Assist qualification of new equipment and processes
- Use software-driven test or automation systems; collect logs and support HW/SW troubleshooting
- Document procedures and support training as products transition to production
- 8+ years relevant hands-on technical experience
- Strong background in electronics manufacturing testing and automated equipment
- Ability to read, interpret, troubleshoot electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of software concepts for hardware testing or automation
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Associate's degree in Electronics (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in lab environments
- Ability to work well with others from all disciplines of the company is expected.
- Able to work and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
