Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in building automation. The role requires learning to understand project/service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety. The technician participates in project/service activities on site related to coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. Report to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently or with others as needed.
  • Be customer‑friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable.
  • Familiar with package units, split systems, RTUs, and mini splits.
  • Have electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
  • Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with team and customers.
  • Comply with all safety standards and processes.
  • Climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
Qualifications
  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems; EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Highly organized and able to work in a high‑paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet schedules.
  • Operate independently and autonomously; take ownership of all tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and team orientation.
  • Proficiency in writing code for controller sequence of operations.
  • Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, Lon Works, Modbus, etc.).
Compensation

USD 54,400 – USD 81,600 per year (base and short‑term incentives). Pay range applies to candidates located within the United States.
