Building Automation Systems Technician
Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area. This position is typically held by someone who has at least 2 years' experience in building automation. The individual's experience may be limited as is their exposure to our specific business. For this position, you are responsible for learning how to understand project/service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety.
Participates in project/service activities on site related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer and reports to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Technician must be able to work on his/her own and/or with others when needed
- Be customer-friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable
- Familiar with Package units, split systems, RTU's, and mini splits
- Familiar with electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Familiar with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
- Experience with performing a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection
- Ability to communicate with the team and with customers
- Must comply with all safety standards and processes
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in close spaces
Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience servicing electronic and or mechanical systems
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
- Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
- Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by the leadership
- Demonstrate the ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and team oriented
- Proficiency with writing code for controller sequence of operations
- Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, Lon Works, Modbus, etc)

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 54,400 - USD 81,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
