AI System Hardware Engineer

The position is a AI Hardware Development Engineer in the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), based in Morrisville, North Carolina. The role involves developing innovative and complex server designs to meet customer and business needs, including organic designs that incorporate the latest technologies from Lenovo and its partners. You will solve unique client challenges through custom development of solutions and direct engagement with customers, becoming an integral and active member of a highly motivated development team that engages, understands, and addresses the technical challenges of today and shapes server designs of tomorrow.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• Interest in x86 or AMD architecture and sub-system design, including CPU/memory/PCIe and RAID/Networking technologies

• Experience in x86 or AMD architecture and hardware design
• Experience in embedded controllers (e.g., PSOC, microcontroller), including schematic design and programming logic
• Collaborative experience on projects across a global development organization
• Exposure to EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation and physical design activity
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems
• Proficiency in shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including customer engagements, defect investigation, and executive updates
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with fluency in English
• Ability to work in a team environment and passion for learning new technologies and skills
