Senior Staff Engineer, Analog Design – Research & Development
Lead the design of power management integrated circuits and multi‑chip modules within our Research and Development team, taking full ownership from concept through production while fostering innovation and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Design lead for Power Management ICs and MCMs.
- Collaborate with Concept Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Project Managers to define feature sets, architecture, resources, schedule, and cost.
- Mentor junior designers in mixed‑signal design best practices.
- Plan and implement Design‑for‑Test (DFT) strategies and designs.
- Support production test development and ramp‑up to manufacturing.
- Specify and transistor‑level design of low‑power/high‑performance analog circuits and power‑management modules, meeting performance, silicon area, power, and timing constraints using CMOS/BCD technology.
- Handle all aspects of IC analog/mixed‑signal design from definition to production, including precision, low‑power analog & I/O blocks, A/D & D/A converters, PLLs, high‑voltage drivers, switching FETs, and sense & protection circuitry.
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of IC design experience.
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed‑signal design.
- Experience leading and managing design teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail in architecture definition, circuit design, debugging, and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal, time‑management, and communication skills.
- Design experience with Power Management ICs and LDMOS/BCD process technologies and PDKs.
- Proficiency with the complete suite of Cadence tools for mixed‑signal design.
- Solid knowledge of EDA design tools and hands‑on experience with Virtuoso Custom IC Environment.
- Hands‑on lab experience with silicon evaluation and validation.
Location:
Morrisville, NC. Salary range: $140,400 – $193,100 per year.
