We are supporting a global technology leader expanding its AI Server Hardware Development team in North Carolina and are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer.
This is a hands‑on PCB and server hardware development role, working on the design of next‑generation AI and high‑performance compute platforms.
We're particularly interested in engineers with experience designing PCBs, system boards, motherboards or complex electronic hardware, combined with a strong understanding of computer or server architecture.
What You'll Be Working On- Design and development of PCB / system‑level hardware for next‑generation server platforms
- PCB schematic creation and review using EDA design tools
- CPU, memory, PCIe, RAID and networking subsystem design
- PCB physical design and board‑level development
- Embedded controllers, microcontrollers and programmable logic
- Board bring‑up, debugging and complex hardware troubleshooting
- Hardware development from design and prototype through validation and production
- Collaboration with global hardware engineering and technology teams
- Development of custom hardware solutions for enterprise customers
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar
- Experience with schematic capture and EDA design tools
- Experience designing complex digital electronic hardware
- Knowledge of x86 / AMD architecture
- Experience across CPU, memory and PCIe subsystems
- Strong board‑level debugging and root‑cause analysis skills
- Experience taking hardware through the design, validation and production lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Server motherboards / system boards
- PCIe and DDR / DDR5 memory interfaces
- AMD EPYC or Intel Xeon platforms
- CPU / GPU based compute platforms
- BMCs and embedded controllers
- Networking and storage hardware
- PCB schematic capture
- Board bring‑up and validation
- Hardware failure analysis and root‑cause investigation
