AboutThe Role
Delta is building next-generation microgrid platforms for commercial, industrial, data center, and utility-scale applications. We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager – Utility Microgrid Solutions to define Delta’s roadmap, product requirements, business cases, and partner strategy for grid-connected, utility-scale microgrid offerings.
This role will focus on GW-scale utility microgrid solutions, helping Delta turn complex utility opportunities into repeatable, scalable solution-as-a-product offerings. This role will define what Delta should offer in utility-scale microgrids, why customers and partners will buy it, what Delta should own, and what engineering must deliver to make the offering repeatable, competitive, and profitable.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience from utility-facing product management, grid infrastructure, HV/MV power systems, DER integration, grid-scale energy storage, or utility automation.
Key Responsibilities- Define product strategy, roadmap, and business cases for utility-scale microgrid solutions, including >100 MW partner-led architectures
- Translate utility, IPP, developer, and grid-edge customer needs into clear product requirements, technical requirements, cost targets, and scope boundaries
- Define Delta’s role in utility microgrid solutions, including what Delta should own internally versus deliver through partners
- Establish requirements for utility-scale architectures, including HV/MV systems, BESS, PCS, controls, protection, interconnection, grid services, EMS/SCADA interfaces, and partner integration
- Benchmark competitors, partner ecosystems, utility procurement models, and emerging grid-scale microgrid business models
- Work closely with internal engineering teams and external partners.
