This position may work hybrid or remote in NC.

• Play a key role in managing enterprise-wide tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels
• Contribute to both tax strategy and core financial accounting functions
• Work in a collaborative environment alongside other tax and finance professionals
• Gain exposure to a wide range of tax types and complex, multi-entity structures

• Support and help manage tax compliance activities including income, franchise, excise, sales and use, ad valorem, premium taxes, and escheat
• Prepare and assist with timely and accurate tax filings across jurisdictions
• Contribute to the accounting for income taxes and related reporting processes
• Participate in trial balance production and broader financial close activities
• Serve as the fixed asset accountant, maintaining and tracking company assets
• Perform bank reconciliations and support general accounting functions
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Support company-wide risk and compliance initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate and partnership taxation
• Experience in financial services or a white-collar service environment
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently
• Experience leveraging technology to improve accounting and tax processes
• Background working in growing or mid-sized organizations
• Exposure to multi-entity or divisional structures preferred
• High level of integrity, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset
