Summary:
The Managed Care Coordinator (analyst) supports UNC Health's network strategy by developing, maintaining, and analyzing physician contract models and performing ad hoc system (hospital and physician) analysis. This role provides actionable insights that guide negotiations, optimize reimbursement structures, and ensure alignment with organizational financial and strategic goals.

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- If Bachelor's degree, requires two (2) years of experience with managed care contracts and provider relations.
- If Associate's degree, requires six (6) years of experience with managed care contracts and provider relations.
- If High School diploma or GED, requires ten (10) years of experience with managed care contracts and provider relations.
- If Master's degree, requires zero (0) year of experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Experience with physician or hospital contract modeling in a payer or provider environment
- Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding and common payment methodologies.
- Knowledge of UNC Health systems, payer relationships, or North Carolina healthcare market dynamics.
