Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Pharmacy Technician to work Monday through Friday, with shifts typically running from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, though they may occasionally start at 8:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM. This role is primarily focused on compliance tasks, which will occupy the first half of the day. The latter part of the day will involve assisting with various tasks within the pharmacy, including production support.

Responsibilities

* Complete daily cleaning tasks independently and without supervision.

* Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.

* Assist in processing returned drugs and manage recycling or disposal as per procedure.

* Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed during low volume times.

* Package materials and products manually.

* Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.

* Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.

* Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product discrepancies during scanning.

* Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed.

* Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

* Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.

Essential Skills

* Pharmacy experience

* Data entry skills

* Customer service skills

* Knowledge of health care, retail pharmacy, and inventory management

* Labeling and scanning proficiency

* Ability to work at a moderate speed

* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

* Possess and maintain a clear and active NC Pharmacy Technician License issued by the NC Board of Pharmacy

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred

Work Environment

The work environment is within a pharmacy setting, adhering to safety and compliance regulations. The role may require working overtime, holidays, and weekends. The dress code is in accordance with departmental policies.

This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
