We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on People Operations Manager to support a growing organization onsite in Morrisville, NC. This part‑time role (20–25 hours per week) is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building structure, partnering closely with leadership, and creating a high‑performing, accountable, and engaged workplace.
This position blends strategic people partnership with day‑to‑day HR execution and requires strong judgment, discretion, and follow‑through.
Key Responsibilities:Performance Management & Leadership Support
- Facilitate structured performance review cycles, including assessments, feedback, and goal‑setting.
- Partner with managers to develop and monitor 30/60/90 plans and ongoing performance goals.
- Provide guidance to supervisors on employee development, feedback delivery, documentation, and performance concerns.
- Assist in drafting and managing performance improvement documentation when necessary.
- Track completion rates and hold leaders accountable to established performance processes.
- Communicate and reinforce company policies, standards of conduct, and workplace expectations outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Ensure adherence to policies related to confidentiality, non‑discrimination, safety, attendance, conduct, and workplace professionalism.
- Implement and track required employee training programs (including supervisor training) through the company’s learning platform.
- Monitor compliance with required training and follow up proactively with managers and employees.
- Administer employee engagement and wellbeing surveys.
- Analyze results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Support initiatives that strengthen accountability, clarity of expectations, and employee engagement.
- Prepare and deliver concise monthly HR updates to leadership.
- Track and report on key people metrics, including performance cycle completion, training compliance, employee transitions, and engagement trends.
- Proactively identify risks, trends, or gaps and recommend practical solutions.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth, compliant employee transitions.
- Support first‑day onboarding activities, including I‑9 verification, workspace coordination, and system access setup.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in the HRIS, including employment agreements, compensation documentation, and required compliance forms.
- Ensure HR processes align with employment laws and best practices, partnering with external HR consultants when needed.
- Serve as a visible and trusted HR presence, exercising professionalism and discretion at all times.
- 7-10 years of progressive HR or People Operations experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law compliance and HR best practices
- Experience managing HRIS platforms
- Experience facilitating structured performance management programs
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and influence leadership
- High level of discretion and sound judgment
- Comfortable working onsite in a visible HR leadership role
