Description and RequirementsWe are hiring an entry level System Engineer to join our Rack Solution Development team to support rack integration and GPU products. This is a hybrid role based in Morrisville, NC. Onsite presence is required 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities- System Integration:
Assist in the design, development, and assembly of integrated computer, storage, and network rack solutions under the mentorship of lead engineers. - Validation & Testing:
Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases. Set up complex hardware/software environments to validate rack-level performance and stability. - Issue Resolution:
Execute testing cycles, report results, and perform initial root-cause analysis on hardware/firmware failures with support from senior staff. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with both Hardware design team (thermal, power, mechanical, M/B...) and Firmware design team to ensure rack designs meet power delivery and cooling requirements. - Documentation:
Maintain precise technical documentation for system configurations and test methodologies.
- Education:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. - Architecture Knowledge:
Foundational understanding of x86/ARM server architecture, high-speed networking (Ethernet), and Windows/Linux OS environments. - Automation/Scripting:
Proficiency in Python or Power Shell for automating repetitive test tasks and data collection. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex technical issues into clear reports. - Agility:
The ability to grasp new technologies and concepts such as hardware protocols and software stacks rapidly.
- Bilingual Proficiency:
Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). - AI Infrastructure Knowledge:
Familiar with Heterogeneous Computing and GPU software interfaces such as NVIDIA CUDA or AMD ROCm.
