The Application Security Team Lead role is to set strategic direction and standards for Application Security as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily activities to ensure the stable operations of the service stacks. This includes designing/assigning security roles and profiles that support business initiatives while accounting for application security and compliance. The Team Lead, Application Security will work closely with IT Executive staff and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and maintain cost-effective security solutions for all aspects of the organization.
PrincipalResponsibilities Manage and Develop People
- Recruit, interview, and hire personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations, make salary and promotional recommendations, and recommend activities for personal and professional growth to staff.
- Set, communicate, review, and measure performance against, goals, objectives and development plans.
- Identify and provide opportunities for team members to learn and grow through empowerment, training, and coaching.
- Understand demand and align the proper resources to requests.
- Provide weekly and on-demand updates of resource utilization, project involvement/status, and challenges
- Serve as a security consultant for applications and new technologies both internal to IT and business organizations.
- Set standards and provide guidance around the security of systems and how the security between systems interacts.
- Oversee the security and usage of systems for use during projects.
- Review and approve technical documentation, changes, and actions in accordance with set processes.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team and the business from both a process and technology standpoint
- Understand business operations and the impact of changes/enhancements to those operations.
- Participate in IT audits and provide solutions for any concerns.
- Maintain cross-functional awareness of IT groups and the influence of changes both internal and external to the department
- Collaborate with the IT Service Desk to provide Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions that allow Service Desk technicians to resolve Tier-I type support incidents
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years experience in Information Technology.
- 3+ years managing IT professionals
- Experience in SAP security for ECC, BW, BO, CRM and other SAP modules.
- Experience in the management of an Enterprise level Identity and Access Management system and associated processes.
- Experience developing security standards and maturing security program.
- Certifications in one or more security-related areas (CISSP, CISA, CISM) are preferred.
- ITIL certification also preferred.
