Job SummaryAs a Cloud Infrastructure / Site Reliability Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of development and operations. You will engage and enhance all aspects of the cloud services lifecycle from design through deployment, operation, and refinement. You will be responsible for maintaining services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, and building automation for efficient cloud operations management.
You will play a crucial role in sustainably scaling systems through automation and driving reliability and velocity improvements. You will administer cloud-based environments supporting our SaaS/IaaS offerings on a microservices, container‑based architecture (Kubernetes). You will oversee a portfolio of customer‑centric cloud services, ensuring availability, performance, and security. The role includes a rotation‑based on‑call schedule as part of our global team.
- Identify automation opportunities and develop deployment, packaging, and monitoring software.
- Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and developers to ensure high performance, reliability, and automation of deployments; consult on feature development and architecture for scalability.
- Debug, troubleshoot and provide advanced tier 2 and 3 support for Net App's Cloud Data Service solutions.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and measure system health, availability, and latency using Prometheus, Stackdriver, Elastic Search, Grafana, Solar Winds, etc.; develop strategies to enhance performance, availability, and reliability.
- Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and implement SRE best practices for complex live production incidents.
- Document system knowledge, create runbooks, and maintain critical system information; manage security protocols and resolve complex security issues.
- Use Atlassian tool chain and machine‑managed cloud tools to track and resolve issues by priority.
- Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall system health to influence decisions and outcomes.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance required.
- 5+ years of experience in scripting and automation using Power Shell, Python, Go, or Ruby.
- Deep knowledge of Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless computing, distributed systems design patterns, and Dev Ops/SRE practices.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and CoreOS; experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience leading a Scrum team, influencing stakeholders, managing product backlog and sprints.
- Will participate in on‑call rotations and work odd hours as required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
The target salary range is $147,900 – $220,000 USD, adjusted for location, qualifications, experience, and education. Compensation packages are competitive and include a comprehensive benefits package covering health, life, retirement or pension plans, paid time off, leave options, performance‑based incentives, stock purchase plans, and restricted stock units, subject to regional variations and regulations.
