RoleAWS Cloud Security Engineer
LocationMorrisville, NC (Hybrid work)
Job TypeFull‑time role.
Responsibilities- Ensure secure AWS configuration by maintaining environments aligned with best practices, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and NIST 800-53 controls
- Identify and remediate security gaps through continuous monitoring, documentation of findings, and creation of remediation tickets
- Engage stakeholders by leading discussions on configurations, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions
- Collaborate across teams including Dev Ops, IT, and Compliance to support secure cloud operations
- Automate and document security processes using cloud‑native tools and scripting while maintaining clear security documentation
- 2+ years of professional cloud security engineer experience
- Ability to work in the U.S.
- Experience with AWS, IAM, KMS, Cloud Trail, Guard Duty, security Hub, and WAF
- Hands on knowledge with SIEM tools
- Proficiency in scripting and automations
Preferred: AWS Certified Security‑Specialty, CISSP certificate
