QA Analyst

Position Overview

The IT QA Analyst is responsible for executing test cases and reviewing projects created and modified by the technology group. The role involves collaborating with internal IT, business users, offshore teams, and clients to ensure new features work as intended.

• Conduct quality assurance testing and analysis on custom applications and reporting technologies.
• Ensure applications and systems function properly and meet business standards and user specifications.
• Manage multiple testing projects simultaneously, adapting quickly to new applications and systems.
• Participate in quality assurance testing on complex or enterprise projects to ensure system functionality.
• Script test cases for release and regression testing of custom applications and reporting.
• Work with IT team members to resolve defects and retest applications.
• Assist Operations personnel in understanding the application and explaining test cases.
• Track QA metrics for testing effectiveness.
• Apply Valeris’ values to drive team success.
• Adhere to training deadlines for corporate policies and procedures.
• Follow SOPs consistently.
• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (strongly preferred).
• 3–5 years of software testing experience, including test plan creation and defect tracking (strongly preferred).
• Experience with Selenium or another automated testing/scripting platform.
• Ability to build and execute basic SQL queries (strong plus).
• Working knowledge of Jira or other Agile tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a thorough problem-solving approach.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit for extended periods, type, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
• Minimal travel flexibility preferred.
• Professional office environment with standard equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.).
