Description and RequirementsThe Business Systems Analyst is a member of Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider (CSP) organization and supports the digital transformation, operating effectiveness, and performance improvement of the CSP business.
This role analyzes CSP business processes, information flows, data structures, and technology capabilities to identify operational gaps and transformation opportunities. The Analyst translates internal business and external customer requirements into structured functional requirements, solution designs, data and integration specifications, and implementation plans. Working closely with Digital Transformation & IT (DTIT), the role supports the design, delivery, and adoption of scalable systems, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that improve customer responsiveness, operational efficiency, and management decision-making.
The successful candidate combines strong business acumen with structured analytical and systems-thinking capabilities, and can respond quickly to evolving customer and business needs in a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities Business Systems Analysis & Digital Transformation- Analyze current-state CSP business processes, information flows, system capabilities, data structures, and cross-functional handoffs to identify process gaps, manual work, data-quality issues, and technology transformation opportunities.
- Translate internal CSP business needs and external customer requirements into clear business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, data requirements, integration requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as a primary CSP business representative in engagements with DTIT and other technology partners, ensuring that business priorities, user needs, expected outcomes, and implementation requirements are clearly understood and appropriately prioritized.
- Partner with DTIT to evaluate and design system enhancements, automation solutions, analytics platforms, AI-enabled tools, and third-party solutions that support CSP business objectives.
- Conduct system gap analyses and support solution-option assessments, including business impact, feasibility, process implications, investment rationale, risks, and implementation dependencies.
- Support end-to-end solution delivery, including requirements validation, design reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment readiness, user adoption, and post-implementation performance evaluation.
- Develop future-state process and operating-model recommendations, including governance cadences, roles and responsibilities, RACI structures, decision rights, milestones, and implementation roadmaps.
- Analyze CSP business performance, strategic customer scorecards, operational KPIs, and customer requirements to identify trends, performance gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
