Overview

The Field Service Representative 1 is an entry level position. Dive into an exciting role where you’ll manage and maintain Sharp equipment across your territory. Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with and receives mentorship from experienced Field Service Technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing cutting‑edge Sharp equipment within a designated territory.
  • Resolve at least 85% of service calls independently post‑training, striving for mastery in equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as per Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.
  • Interpret schematics and conduct electrical troubleshooting, including our complete digital product line.
  • Handle customer relations independently, escalating complex situations as necessary.
  • Manage parts inventory efficiently to support smooth operations.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve service goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Report equipment performance issues to the Branch Field Service Manager and any steps taken to resolve them.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Branch Field Service Manager.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
  • Technical vocational schooling desirable (electronics or electro‑mechanical preferred), or experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Must possess or achieve Comptia A+ certification within one (1) year of hire.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must successfully complete Sharp equipment pre‑testing and training.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License, and automobile insurance within company guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites.
  • Requires frequent kneeling and bending and considerable use of hands and tools. Walking great lengths at a time.
  • Frequently requires moving or lifting of up to 50 pounds and able to lift 75 on occasion.
  • Exposure to live electrical circuits.
  • Exposure to extreme environmental conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, extreme cold, and working with flammable liquids and solids.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must have specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $35,800–$48,840. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program‑specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
