PositionSummary
The Global Supplier Quality Auditor will independently conduct assigned audits of Suppliers, service providers and contract manufacturers to assess compliance to all applicable External Standards and Regulations as well as Teleflex own Quality Management System requirements at a standard commensurate with regulatory external audits. Will provide expert guidance and training to junior colleagues as well as leading on ad-hoc cross-functional projects, championing new initiatives, and acting as a catalyst for change.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system, ensuring compliance to global policies and procedures by promptly reporting non-compliance issues and offering strategic solutions to complex quality issues.
- Independently lead audits across Teleflex’s Supplier and Purchased Finished Good network, identifying compliance risks to current standards/regulations and provide guidance in the planning and execution of Quality System improvements.
- Perform Quality Management System audits of suppliers of components, services, purchased finished goods, and contract manufacturers.
- Communicate audit findings to Global Supplier Quality, Global Procurement, Business Unit Leadership, Site Quality, Research and Development, Engineering, and other stakeholders as required.
- Support Global Supplier Quality improvement/development projects.
- Assist with the development of suppliers to provide reliable, trusting, and productive relationships.
- Serve as a subject matter expert around Purchasing Controls.
- Develop strong partnering relationships with Global Procurement, Business Unit Leadership, Site Quality, Research and Development, Engineering, and other stakeholders as required.
- Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 13485)
- Minimum 5 years of Lead Auditor experience with ISO standards.
- 10-15 years of experience working within regulated industries (Preferably Medical Device)
- Engineering experience is highly desirable for the role.
- Subject Matter Expert in Purchasing Controls.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 13485 & QSR 21 CFR Part 820
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
- Experience with Visio, Access, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical applications
- Excellent training presentation skills
- Team facilitation skills
