Position Overview We are hiring an Electrical Panel Builder & Field Technician in Morrisville, NC. You will start with 3 to 6 months in the shop mastering our control panel builds, wiring standards, and testing procedures. Once fully trained, you will split time between shop builds and field installations, conduit runs, and machine startups at customer sites.
What You Will Do Phase 1:
Shop Assembly & Training (First 3–6 Months)
Build and wire industrial control panels from electrical schematics, layout prints, and BOMs.Mount DIN rail, wire duct, circuit breakers, contractors, relays, power supplies, VFDs, and PLCs.Route, crimp, terminate, and label wiring to UL 508A standards.
Perform point-to-point continuity checks, power testing, and electrical troubleshooting prior to shipment.
Phase 2:
Field Installations & Startups (Post-Training)
Measure, cut, thread, and bend EMT and Rigid conduit (hand, mechanical, hydraulic).Pull wire, set junction boxes, and terminate power (480
VAC / 240
VAC / 120
VAC 3-Phase) and low-voltage control circuits (24
VDC, 4–20mA analog loops, sensor wiring).Support equipment startups, perform PLC I/O checkouts, and diagnose field wiring faults.
Qualifications & Requirements1+ years of hands-on experience in electrical control panel building or electrical work.
Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams independently.
Practical experience bending conduit (EMT/Rigid) and pulling wire. (preferred)
Solid understanding of 480V 3-phase power and 24
VDC control circuits.
Proficiency using digital multimeters, megohmmeters (meggers), and hand/power tools.
Willingness to complete 3–6 months of shop training prior to field dispatch.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed based on workload.
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
