Care Master is expanding our Raleigh restoration team and is looking specifically for experienced Mitigation Technicians who already understand property damage restoration.

This is not an entry-level general labor position.

If you have worked in water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, emergency services, or disaster restoration and know what it takes to professionally handle a loss from initial response through drying and documentation, we would like to meet you.

We value experienced restoration professionals who can walk onto a jobsite, understand what needs to happen, work effectively with a mitigation team, communicate professionally with customers, and take pride in doing the job correctly.

As a Care Master Mitigation Technician, you will assist with residential and commercial property-loss projects throughout the Raleigh market, including:

Emergency water extraction and mitigation

Setting and monitoring air movers, dehumidifiers and other drying equipment

Moisture detection, mapping and documentation

Removal of affected drywall, flooring, insulation and other damaged materials

Establishing containment and maintaining clean, organized jobsites

Fire and smoke damage restoration activities

Mold remediation and controlled demolition as appropriate

Equipment setup, monitoring, breakdown and maintenance

Documenting job progress and conditions in restoration software and mobile applications

Communicating professionally with customers during stressful property-loss situations

Participating in scheduled after-hours/on-call emergency response

Direct restoration experience is required.

Strong candidates will have:

At least 1 year of direct water mitigation or property restoration experience

Working knowledge of water extraction and structural drying

Experience operating air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and extraction equipment

Experience performing controlled demolition on water-damaged structures

Understanding of safe jobsite practices and proper PPE

Ability to accurately document work performed

Ability to work effectively as part of a restoration crew

Availability to participate in an emergency on-call rotation

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Ability to perform the physical requirements of restoration work, including lifting approximately 50 pounds and working in crawlspaces, attics and other confined areas

Candidates with any of the following will receive strong consideration:

ASD, AMRT, FSRT or additional IICRC certifications

Two or more years of water mitigation/restoration experience

Fire and smoke restoration experience

Mold remediation experience

Experience documenting mitigation projects electronically

Experience working within insurance restoration

Previous Crew Chief or Lead Technician responsibilities

Certifications are valuable but demonstrated restoration experience, professionalism and the ability to execute in the field matter to us as well.
