Overview
Description The Senior SQA engineer will be responsible for driving the quality of Mobile Applications (iOS and Android). The ideal candidate will enjoy manual testing. We are looking for a person with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to dig in and get to the bottom of things. We need an expert at prioritization and multi-tasking.

This is a position in a distributed team: development & QA are distributed between Raleigh (US) & India, product & project managers are in San Jose (US).
Role expectations- Operate as a part of a scrum team: actively participate in sprint planning, demo and retrospective, and attend daily standups.
- Represent SQA in project level discussions, and collaborate with teams from other locations and functional divisions.
- Analyze software functional and non-functional requirements and develop test strategies.
- Create test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports).
- Iterate with stakeholders & business owners to understand different aspects of the features.
- Test integration of Mobile applications with other applications (other Mobile apps, web applications, REST APIs).
- Work with bugs throughout their lifecycle.
- Help the team follow processes and raise questions when needed.
- Ensure the quality of not only the code, but also the requirements & the processes.
- 5+ years in SQA (Software Quality Assurance) in manual testing of Mobile applications.
- 8+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Thorough understanding of the role and the place of QA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of white box testing.
- Experience in scope estimation, test planning, monitoring test execution, knowledge of test metrics.
- Analytical thinking, ability to systematize information and learn complex things quickly.
- Proven problem solving capabilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
