About The Company
SLG Services, Inc. performs turnkey outside-plant (OSP) telecom construction — aerial and underground placement, fiber and coax splicing, testing and restoration — as a single self-performing partner to leading communications providers.
The Role
Production-rate coax splicer supporting plant upgrades, extensions and new build — splicing, sweeping, activations, testing, troubleshooting and node optimization on the HFC plant.
Responsibilities
• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to manage capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers); forward/reverse sweep & network verification.
• Install/dress coax, enclosures, line extenders, amplifiers and drops; program nodes/amps.
• Read CATV telecom design/prints; maintain coax asset inventory and splicing records.
Qualifications
• 1–3+ yrs coax splicing & sweeping experience.
• Comfortable on ladder or bucket truck; quality-focused.
• Valid driver's license; flexible on shifts/overtime.
