Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Information Technology

Clayton State University, Morrow, GA – Full‑time, tenure‑track, starting Fall 2026.

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology invites applications for a second tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise students, supervise student research, and develop a dynamic, externally funded research program.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Computer Science.
• Advise faculty, staff, and students and supervise undergraduate and graduate research.
• Participate in curriculum development, new program design, and accreditation efforts.
• Engage in scholarly activities, develop an independent research program, and seek external funding.
• Serve the department, college, university, and community through committees, projects, and professional development.

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science.
• Experience in teaching and supervising student research.
• Ability to develop a dynamic, externally funded research program.

• Strong background in Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Industry credentials or certifications.
