Job Summary

The Department of Health Care Management in the College of Health at Clayton State University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position, beginning August 1, 2026. This will be a 10-month position.

Responsibilities

* Teaching:
Teach both online and seated undergraduate health sciences and health care management courses;
Up to 80 percent of this position is involved with teaching at the undergraduate level. Teaching not only includes classroom time but lecture preparation, grading exams and papers, meeting with students and departmental curriculum activities.

* Service:
Participate in committee service;
Up to 20 percent of this position may be dedicated to service. Service activities are extended to the Department, College, and University as well as to the larger community. In this later regard, the service activities extend to the professional and extended communities.

* Scholarship:
Publication in Scholarly Journals is required;
Up to 20 percent of this position may be involved in scholarly activities leading to presentations and publication. Engagement in professional development is also required.

Required Qualifications

* Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Education, Business Administration or other related field.

* Demonstrate the ability to teach courses in the Health Sciences and Health Care Management program at the undergraduate level.

* Experience in teaching healthcare concepts, theories and applications.

* Awareness and sensitivity to the educational goals the university

* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* A Doctoral degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Education, Business Administration or other related field.

* Professional and/or managerial experience in the healthcare arena.

* Experience in integrating instructional technologies in teaching, including implementing courses online.
