Job Summary

The Department of English seeks part
¿ time instructors to teach first
¿ year writing (ENGL 1101 and 1102) and assist with portfolio assessment at the Main Campus and off
¿ site locations in Rockdale, Fayette, Henry, Clayton, and Fulton counties. Candidates should have experience teaching first
¿ year writing and survey
¿ of¿literature courses and be prepared to support the work of the writing program as needed.

Responsibilities

* Teaching two writing courses per semester

* Assessing portfolios

* Holding office hours and being accessible to students

Required Qualifications

* Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in English

* Record of successful teaching in composition and/or first-year writing

* Successful experience and/or training in teaching writing

* Technological literacy and a commitment to integrate technology in teaching

* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
