Overview
Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations to prepare for a future managerial role. Bilingual candidates encouraged.
Responsibilities- Supervise all store operations and team members, including professional delivery and installer service specialists and retail parts and merchandising specialists.
- Collaborate with the district and store manager to recruit, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members.
- Communicate information from team meetings to all staff, and train new team members.
- Handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist hiring processes: scheduling, interviewing, and evaluating candidates with management.
- Support safety compliance and staff training across all operations.
- Make sales calls, including weekly customer calls, as directed by the store manager.
- Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure vehicles are properly maintained.
- Manage electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll functions.
- Monitor gross profit components, professional customer returns, and core/warranty abuse.
- Oversee price matches and overrides, ensuring proper application.
- Review team member productivity through daily KPI dashboards.
- Analyze monthly P&L statements with the store manager to identify improvement areas.
- High School Diploma required.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
- Advanced computer skills.
- ASE certification preferred.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.
- Experience at an O’Reilly store and/or distribution center.
- Completion of O’Reilly management training program.
- Willingness to develop within the organization.
